2020 Global Agricultural Commodities Market Seminar

REGISTRATION CLOSES - 4.00pm WEDNESDAY 14TH OCTOBER

After the inevitable cancellation of the Association’s annual dinner we are delighted that Mark Feight will be hosting this year’s Rob Fisher Memorial Seminar on line. In the 1990’s Mark and his co-founder Rob Fisher set up International Agribusiness Group LLC (IAG) which is an independent consultancy firm working with businesses exposed to agricultural commodity price risks. Sadly, Rob passed away suddenly in 2014 and the Association took the decision to name the annual commodities seminar in his memory.

Mark has been a leading consultant to the agricultural industry for over 30 years helping individuals, companies, organisations and governments make better decisions providing expert risk management and unique marketing concepts. He has published a number of industry related articles and his numerous speaking engagements include testifying before the U.S. Senate Ag Committee regarding the 1995 Farm Bill.

Mark’s thoughts and market predictions at this uncertain time will no doubt make for an interesting seminar which will be a great opportunity to gain valuable insight and knowledge.

This year has been a very difficult one for everybody especially charities, some of whom have seen their income drop dramatically. Although the annual dinner and our other fundraising events have been cancelled, the Association is keen to carry on supporting charities as much as possible. The seminar is once again free to all who wish to attend but we would be delighted if you felt able to make a voluntary donation which we could add to the funds we have available to help charities.

Please use the link below to register your interest in this event.

A link for joining will be sent out to all registered parties week commencing Monday 12 October

Understanding Risk within the Global Agricultural Commodities Market

Back in the 1990'sco-founder Mark Feight and Rob Fisher created an agricultural marketing group and when the business began to expand they formed IAG, International Agribusiness Group.  Unfortunately, Rob passed away in 2014 but the company still defines itself by the legacy of his vision of expert, ethical and confidential consulting services.

Ben Fisher joined the company in 2003 and is one of three lead consultants who combined have over 80 years of experience in global markets and research.  They provide private consultancy services for a wide range of global clients as well as speaking engagements and regular industry reporting.

For further information about the company, please visit their website http://iag-group.com.

The Association was delighted when Ben Fisher agreed to present this year's seminar and although it will be the first time he has done so, Ben has regularly been instrumental on previous seminars by ensuring the data is as accurate as possible, even sending new data over as the seminar has progressed.

This seminar is free to everyone who is attending the Annual Dinner and it is an unique opportunity to gain valuable knowledge for free!!

Please note, the start time for this seminar is 3.00pm.  If you would like to attend, please click on the link below to confirm your attendance.

North Yorkshire Trade Awareness Course

North Yorkshire’s Animal Feed Manufacturers,

Blenders, Farmers and Brewers Trade Awareness Course

Regretfully, we must advise that we have to postpone the September trade awareness course in North Yorkshire.  It is only the second time in twelve years of running these courses that we have had to make this decision but it is a combination of several factors, not least the unprecedented weather we have been experiencing in 2018.

Historically, July, August and September tend to be relatively quieter months in the trade and an ideal time to run a course, but this just hasn’t been the case this year and there has been a definite impact on both host and delegate companies alike.

We are sorry if this has caused you any inconvenience and we are currently looking to re-schedule this course which realistically we think it will be early spring 2019.

Once again, the Association’s Annual Dinner is being held at the Mercure Hull Grange Park Hotel, Grange Park Lane, Willerby, Hull on Thursday 19th October 2017 at 7.00pm for 7.30pm.

Tickets are selling well, so if you haven’t already done so, we would strongly recommend getting your tickets booked now to avoid any disappointment.

The Dinner is an ideal opportunity for members, associates and their customers to come together for an enjoyable, social networking evening.  We like to think the Dinner is a formal, informal evening so whether you require a couple of tickets, half or a full table you are most welcome.  Tables are strictly limited to 8, 10 or 12 places and tickets cost £85.00 for non members.

We are delighted that Mark Feight from International Agribusiness Group LLC has agreed to host our afternoon seminar again this year.  It is free to all those attending the dinner, full details can be seen under the title of “Global Agricultural Commodities Seminar”.  The discussion will start at 2.00pm.

Wine can be pre-ordered for your table directly from Mercure Hull Grange Park Hotel.  A wine list and booking form will be made available for all those booking tickets.  This form must be completed and returned to the Hotel at least 7 days prior to the Dinner.  The hotel can also arrange credit accounts for non-residents if required.

As in previous years a Charity Draw will be held during the evening.  The dress code is black tie.  Any special dietary requirements or vegetarian options need to be notified PRIOR to the Dinner.

Tickets can be booked through here or simply send an email to confirm your requirements.

The closing date for bookings is Friday 22nd September 2017.
